Draw Down Plan

The draw down plan is a three year drawdown cycle whereby on years designated as year 1, year 2 and year 3 we perform a drawdown as follows:

Year 1) 3 feet, by removing 3 boards from the Dam  <--- Corresponds to years 2025, 2028, 2031, 2034

Year 2) 1 foot, by removing 1 board from the Dam    <--- Corresponds to years 2026, 2029, 2032, 2035

Year 3) 1 foot, by removing 1 board from the Dam    <--- Corresponds to years 2027, 2030, 2033, 2036

(In 2025, we replaced the 3 boards over the winter)

The schedule for the drawdown is to remove boards on the dam after Columbus Day.  At the end of April, the boards are then reinstalled. 

Boaters should use caution while on the pond during the drawdown period because there will be more shallow areas.  Owners of boats and docks should take the necessary steps to prepare for and/or adjust to the drawdown.
